• Be able to perform all duties of a Personal Care Attendant as described in the Job Summary.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to prove competency through education and/or experience or demonstrate competency to perform tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively.
• Ability to communicate with the client and other Personal Care Attendants in a friendly manner.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor and office to ensure that service expectations are met.
• Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry items as needed.
• Prolonged standing and walking may be required for some assignments.
• Must be able to work under some stressful conditions, identify client needs, make quick decisions, meet client/family psycho‑social needs and demonstrate interest in the welfare of ill and elderly.
• Must provide documentation of legal authority to work in the United States (social security card, work visa, green card, etc.).
• Ability to drive.
• Hold a valid state‑issued identification ( Driver's License) and provide a copy to Wade's Solutions For Living Inc. Must have reliable transportation to travel to assignments and provide proof of current auto insurance.
