Position Summary

The Frac Equipment Operator I is an entry‑level position responsible for operating, maintaining, and assisting in the setup of hydraulic fracturing equipment during frac operations. Requires basic mechanical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork. The operator will be trained to monitor fluid levels, pressures, and equipment performance, contributing to the success of frac jobs. Opportunity for growth within the company’s fracturing services.

Roles / Responsibilities
  • Run pumps, blenders, hydration units, and other frac machinery during hydraulic fracturing operations.
  • Assist with rigging up frac equipment at wellsites, ensuring equipment is positioned and ready for operations.
  • Conduct inspections of frac equipment to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
  • Track fluid levels, pressures, and flow rates for optimal performance during the frac job.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment operational and prevent downtime.
  • Ensure all operations comply with company safety standards.
  • Work closely with crew members, engineers, and supervisors for efficient and safe job execution.
  • Maintain accurate logs of job performance, equipment usage, and issues encountered.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Previous oilfield experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required. Completion of safety training mandatory.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions
  • Physical tasks: bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, standing, walking, crawling, etc., for long periods.
  • Heavy lifting and carrying required.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, tunnels.
  • Exposure to moderate noise, vibration, bright lights, dust, fumes, gases, and all climate types.
  • Must wear protective gear (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats) as needed.
  • Rapid response using hands, fingers, feet.
  • Follow written and oral instructions even with frequent interruptions.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment as required.
  • Communicate clearly by phone and in person.
