Job Summary
The ISO Machine Technician is responsible for producing high quality commercial roofing products at the New Columbia Plant through accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of all manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities. The Machine Technician will perform various, rotating duties relating to all manufacturing operations, including Raw Material, Facer Unwind, Platform, Cross Cut, Multi-blade, Downs tacker, Hooder, Footer, Foot / Panel saws, and Media blaster.
He or she will support the managers and all plant staff to meet New Columbia's operational goals and perform duties as assigned. Employees will contribute to a highly motivated and positive environment.
The Machine Technician reports to the Production Manager under the direction of the Lead Technician. The Machine Technician must be familiar with all areas of the foam making process along with any off-line equipment associated with the production line. It is the responsibility of all Technicians to operate in a safe manner, and monitor quality of the product we produce through the use of process specifications, Plant RCN, PCN, and online testing.
Schedule
The ISO Machine Technician schedules are based on business needs
12-hour evening shift, 6:00pm - 6:00am
Holidays, weekends and other shifts may be required
May require periodic travel
Pay Rate
$30.52 per hour
Essential Duties
- Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Produce high quality products on a consistent basis
- Generate timely, consistent reports
- Communicate positively with other production operators and leaders
- Assure all activities are performed safely
Under This Roof, We Require
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience required

- Demonstrated intermediate communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong planning, prioritization, organizational and reporting skills

Technical Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve production challenges
- Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite
- Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to read and interpret measurements
