Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a physician to deliver exceptional patient experiences in a welcoming and inclusive environment in collaboration with Inova, a premier Virginia healthcare network.

Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions and selecting/performing appropriate diagnostics and therapeutic procedures. This role requires clinic-based urgent care or emergency medicine experience and board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.

Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.

• Examining and treating patients
• Taking patients’ medical histories
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
• Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
• Educating and counseling patients
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
• Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
• Supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervision
• Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges
• Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift
• All other duties as assigned

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
• Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
• Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Active state medical licensure
• Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting; suturing, splinting, etc. are applicable
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is preferred
• Strong listening, communication, and customer service skills
