PM Preschool Enrichment Teacher

Job Overview

PM preschool enrichment teacher is tasked with creating and implementing preschool activities and curriculum for PM students, ranging from art projects to science experiments. Students will be engaged with learning materials and experiences from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

• Ensure that the physical, social and emotional needs of the children are met daily.
• Ensure all policies and procedures to keep the children healthy and safe are being implemented.
• Creates activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children through well‑defined learning areas.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities.
• Ensure that appearance, cleanliness and a safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained, in accordance with the NAEYC cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
• Ensure that all licensing regulations are being followed as required by the state.
• Ensure all students who are soiled or need to be diaper‑changed are changed following the proper diaper‑changing process as outlined in orientation.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events and parent meetings, as requested.
• Prepare and implement classroom lesson plans, programs and schedules.
• Develop, plan and prepare instructional aids and/or materials for classroom activities.
• Assist children with meal times and cleanup.
• Ensure that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.
• Direct the activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner.
• Interact with parents and maintain open communication to encourage family engagement.

Minimum of 3 years child‑care experience and a degree in education preferred.

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
