Position: Floor Staff ($16 per hour!)

Summary:

Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or full‑time hourly employees whose primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Floor Staff employees must act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies;

including regular and consistent attendance, handling of emergency situations when called upon, general cleaning duties, and compliance with our company dress code.

  • Box Office:
    Operate POS system for cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons
  • Box Office:
    Upsell/suggestive sell of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Box Office:
    Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Box Office:
    Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Box Office:
    Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy
  • Concession:
    Operate POS system and manage concession stock inventory
  • Concession:
    Operate, prepare, and clean all concession‑related equipment

    Upsell/suggestive sell

    Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws

    Adhere to federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods

    Tear tickets, collect and deposit stub, and direct patrons to auditoriums

    Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable

    Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats

    Enforce MPAA rating system
  • Usher:
    Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment
  • Usher:
    Report problems and discrepancies to management
  • Usher:
    Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed
  • Usher:
    Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other areas outside the auditorium
  • Usher:
    Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
  • Usher:
    Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress toward completion required.
  • If the theatre sells alcohol, completion of legally required state or local training, obtaining the required certificate, and completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
  • Good public speaking, listening effectively, and responding clearly and directly.
  • Proficient in math calculations with speed and accuracy, and ability to identify and correct errors.
  • Strong reasoning ability: identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and take action beyond what is necessarily called for under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers, and management; ability to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, occasional lifting up to 60 pounds, and meeting vision requirements.
