Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Days
All About Ultrasound, a Lake Manassas OBGYN & Midwifery office in Gainesville, VA, is hiring a Sonographer. This role is full‑time, in person, and offers an expansive benefits package.
How You'll Contribute- Receives patients, explains procedures, and ensures patient comfort.
- Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
- Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards.
- Maintains equipment and supplies, and organizes the work area.
- Keeps accurate records, assists with scheduling, and manages patient flow.
- Reviews physician requisitions for completeness and consults the ultrasound physician as needed.
- Assists radiologists/referring physicians in invasive procedures using sterile technique while maintaining infection control guidelines.
- Recognizes key anatomical structures on the monitor and differentiates artifacts from anatomic/pathologic structures within equipment limitations.
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and technical expertise; improves standard procedures to enhance diagnostic results.

- Associate’s degree in Ultrasound/Sonography or related field from an approved program.
- ARDMS Registered, or for new graduates, ARDMS eligible and must pass a test in at least one area (e.g., Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 7 days of hire.
- State license to practice as a Sonographer.
- OBGYN experience required.
