The Role of a Primary Supply Teacher

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will step into the classroom to deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. You will need to be adaptable, confident managing classroom behaviour, and committed to supporting pupils' academic and personal development. Long-term roles may also involve planning, assessment, and participation in wider school life.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible and professional approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
