As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Specialist to join our Aftersales department, playing a key role in generating repeat business, growing our service and support revenue, and strengthening long-term client relationships.

Role Overview This is an exciting office-based role for a proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As Business Development Specialist within the Aftersales department, you will be responsible for growing revenue from our existing customer base through service contracts, spare parts, upgrades, and support packages.

You will be comfortable picking up the phone, following up on quotes, and developing creative initiatives to maximise the value we deliver to customers after installation.

Key Responsibilities

Aftersales Revenue Generation.

Proactively contact existing customers via cold calling and email to identify aftersales opportunities including service contracts, parts, and upgrades.

Follow up on all aftersales quotations in a timely and professional manner to maximise conversion rates

Build and maintain a pipeline of aftersales opportunities across the installed customer base

Identify customers approaching the end of warranty or service agreements and proactively engage them

Manage and update the CRM system to track customer contact, activity, and aftersales pipeline progress Strategy & Initiatives

Develop and implement aftersales strategies and initiatives to grow recurring revenue and customer retention

Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services, parts, training, or support packages

Analyse the existing customer base to prioritise outreach and target high-value opportunities

Prepare and present regular reports on aftersales activity, pipeline status, and performance against targets Customer Relationships

Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business

Act as a trusted point of contact for aftersales enquiries, working closely with technical and engineering teams

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure quotes and proposals accurately reflect customer needs and service capabilities Skills & Experience Essential

Proven experience in an aftersales, account management, internal sales, or customer facing sales role

Confident and persistent telephone manner — comfortable making cold calls and chasing outstanding quotes

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify revenue opportunities within an existing customer base

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM platforms

Self-motivated and target-driven with a proactive approach to work Desirable Background in engineering, manufacturing, automation, or a technical aftersales or service environment

Experience developing aftersales strategies, service plans, or customer retention initiatives

Familiarity with service contracts, maintenance agreements, or spare parts sales.
