Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant, who will be responsible for income tax return review, analysis and preparation as well as assisting the Tax Manager with completion of various tax filings and reporting obligations, and assisting with oversight of bookkeeping, general ledger, and related activities for individuals and businesses.

• Work with clients to provide excellent professional services
• Data analysis, review and input for individual, business, trust and estate income tax returns
• Develop accounting and tax work papers
• Bookkeeping and account reconciliation, as needed
• General accounting services for clients
• Prepare and review accounting work papers.
• Collaborate with team members and supervise staff accountants
• Help build a growing tax practice.

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field. CPA qualification is preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant tax and accounting experience
• Experience with tax software and individual and entity tax return preparation
• Experience with bookkeeping and payroll
• Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online
• Proactive and independent thinker
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and able to handle a sizable work-load, prioritize assignments, and pay skillful attention to detail
• Willingness to do what needs to be done - this is a small firm and at times everyone will pitch in and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
