Mid Level Automotive Technician - Gaithersburg, MD

As a Mid-Level Automotive Technician at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, you will gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by utilizing mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service.

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, alignments, tire installation, and other standard shop tasks.
• Provide clear communication and guest service, and mentor junior automotive technicians as needed.
• Document all work performed on repair orders and report safety issues to management.
• Promote teamwork to ensure timely guest care during all operating hours and maintain adherence to company policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting as required, while maintaining safety standards.

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance
• Must have a valid driver license and be at least 18 years of age
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

• High School Diploma or GED
• Maryland State Inspection License
• ASE Certification
• Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests
• Experience with electrical, air conditioning, and primary/advanced fuel ignition systems

• Competitive base pay with a pay range of $16.00 - $20.00/hr (actual base pay may vary by knowledge, skills, experience, and market location)
