Premise Health is seeking an Ergonomics Specialist to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD.
Position SummaryAs a Full‑time Ergonomics Specialist, you will be embedded in our Health Center, providing care to client employees Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits$5,000 Sign‑On Bonus! Salary range from $88,000.00 to $ annually. Responsibilities- Promote safe, healthy, and inspiring workplace environments through proactive ergonomic strategies.
- Identify and assess ergonomic hazards in various workplace environments.
- Operate within an embedded client setting, adapting to site‑specific needs and culture.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as injury rates and risk reduction, producing clear, accurate, and timely technical reports to support ergonomic evaluations and recommendations.
- Instruct and facilitate training sessions on ergonomic principles and practices.
- Conduct comprehensive data collection and perform detailed ergonomic analyses.
- Develop and implement solutions for both short‑term and long‑term ergonomic risk reduction.
- Understands and complies with all regulatory, procedural, policy and licensing requirements.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining timelines and deliverables.
- Professionally engage with diverse clientele, fostering strong relationships and trust.
- Perform ergonomic assessments including office and manual material handling work spaces.
- Work in an embedded client environment.
- Produce technical reports using a standard documentation procedure promptly.
- Advise on the organization of production lines and workstations, including recommendations for new equipment or corrective actions for assessments (including MMH).
- Develop, present, promote, and engage employees in prevention activities—workplace, break software, opposite movement, spot checks, health fair representation—and coordinate participation with the Health and Wellbeing Team.
- Degree in Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, Biomechanics, or Physical Engineering) required.
- Certified in one or more of the following:
Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE) required. - At least 1 year of experience working with ergonomic applications preferred.
- 5+ years of conducting industrial ergonomics assessments.
Gaithersburg, MD (Health Center). Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
