We're looking for a compassionate Peer Recovery Specialist who has lived experience in recovery and is passionate about helping others navigate their own recovery journey. If you enjoy mentoring, encouraging, and connecting people with the resources they need to succeed, we'd love to meet you.

- Provide one‑on‑one peer support, encouragement, and recovery coaching
- Help individuals develop and achieve their recovery goals
- Build trusting relationships that promote long‑term recovery
- Assist clients with developing healthy coping skills and daily living skills
- Connect clients with community resources, recovery groups, housing, employment, and support services
- Conduct wellness checks, reminder calls, and community outreach
- Accompany clients to appointments when needed
- Co‑facilitate recovery and support groups alongside behavioral health staff
- Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and clinical providers
- Document services accurately and on time in the electronic health record
- Advocate for clients while promoting independence and self‑sufficiency
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies
- Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training
- Passion for helping individuals recover from substance use and behavioral health challenges
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire others
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Organized with strong documentation skills
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
- Ability to maintain healthy boundaries while building supportive relationships
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Peer Recovery Certification Program required
- Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery
- Active involvement in personal recovery and wellness
- Experience working in human services, behavioral health, or customer service is a plus
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass criminal background and CPS checks
