ESF is looking for a Trademark attorney to join the growing Trademark practice as soon as possible.

Responsibilities & QualificationsCandidates can expect to assist a wide variety of clients across varying industries with navigating all aspects of trademark law.
An ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of law firm experience in all aspects of trademark practice, including trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement, and client counseling;
- BS/BA and JD Degree from an accredited institution;
- Experience conducting trademark clearance, reviewing and analyzing preliminary and comprehensive trademark searches and providing opinions, guidance and advice to clients regarding the availability of trademarks for use/registration;
- Experience managing domestic trademark prosecution, including preparation of applications for registration, responses to USPTO Office Actions, and all pre‑ and post‑registration filings;
- Experience developing and managing global trademark portfolios, including instructing, corresponding with, and supervising the actions of a network of international associates in the clearance, filing, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of trademark rights in countries around the world;
- Experience analyzing potential claims and defenses in trademark enforcement and infringement matters and drafting cease and desist and response letters;
- Excellent communication skills, in dealing with clients, support personnel, and foreign counsel; and
- Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
Not required but would be a plus:
Trademark Trial and Appeal Board experience, copyright experience, and trademark due diligence experience.
