As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout the location. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and communication.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activities, hazards, or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or patients, offering assistance as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Complete required logs, reports, and/or documentation accurately and promptly as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and/or emergency medical personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
