Tru Blue, Rockville is a Home Ally Service company dedicated to providing premium handyman services with bonded and insured technicians, giving our customers peace of mind throughout Montgomery County. Our mission is to help people maintain the safety and value of their homes by offering handyman services, home assessments, and regular maintenance. We are searching for a reliable home technician (handyman/handywoman) to provide general repairs and home modifications for older people in our community who choose to age in place.

If you have 3 or more years of paid experience in safety modifications and handyman work as well as the desire to help seniors more safely age in place, this could be the opportunity for you!

We are looking for a seasoned handyman/handywoman with the following experience:

• Installing grab bars and other mobility aids
• Designing and installing accessibility ramps
• Widening door frames
• Modifying bathtubs and showers
• Bathroom upgrades/remodel

The appropriate candidate for the Aging in Place Modifications technician, in addition to being experienced in general home repairs, will be proficient in grab bar and ramp installation and have an interest in becoming an expert in accessibility solutions. Once hired, the candidate will be required to take a certification class in aging in place. The cost and time of the five-hour class will be paid in full by the company.

Qualified candidates will need a driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and standard tools. Candidates must also speak fluent English and have the legal right to work in the U.S.
