UI/UX Developer

Noetic is seeking a skilled Mid-Level UI/UX Developer to support the Maru Program and a premier Intelligence Community customer. The successful candidate will design and develop intuitive, user-centered interfaces for mission-critical applications, translating complex technical workflows into clean, efficient, and accessible user experiences.
The Maru Program delivers modern software solutions across the customer's enterprise using Agile, Dev Sec Ops , and cloud-native methodologies. This role bridges user experience design and front-end engineering, working closely with backend developers, product owners, stakeholders, and end users to deliver production-ready interfaces that improve usability, performance, and overall user satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities- UI/UX Design and Development: Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web-based applications.
- User Experience Optimization: Translate complex workflows into efficient user experiences that improve usability and adoption.
- Front-End Development: Build, maintain, and enhance front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Usability and Accessibility: Apply usability standards and accessibility best practices throughout the design and development process.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain consistent design patterns, reusable components, and style guides.
- User Research and Feedback: Gather and incorporate user feedback to improve interface design and functionality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with backend engineers, product teams, stakeholders, and end users to align interface designs with system capabilities and mission requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
- U.S. citizenship is required by contract.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated experience designing user-centered interfaces for complex applications.
- Understanding of user experience principles, usability, and interaction design.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments.
- Ability to translate user needs and requirements into functional design solutions.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and backend integration.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and front-end deployment workflows.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience designing and developing intuitive user interfaces for data-driven GEOINT applications.
