We have an exciting opportunity for a Modern Apprentice to join our Business Support Team, providing essential administrative support to Social Work professionals across both Children's and Adults Services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy and rewarding environment while working towards a nationally recognised Business & Administration SCQF Level 6 qualification through an approved training provider.
What You'll Be DoingAs part of our team, you'll play an important administrative role in supporting frontline social work services and helping us deliver the best possible service to our communities. Your duties may include:
- Answering and directing telephone calls
- Typing and distributing letters and correspondence
- Taking and distributing meeting minutes
- Monitoring team email inboxes
- Processing incoming work on Mosaic
- Managing Corporate Appointee administration tasks
- Inputting and maintaining data across various databases and spreadsheets
- Using a range of council systems including Mosaic, Business World, One Drive, the Intranet and Microsoft Office applications

In accordance with Scottish Borders Councils priorities, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position.
