Role Purpose

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced social worker, nurse care manager or occupational therapist to join an enthusiastic and dynamic team based in Galashiels. The candidate will be part of a renewed management structure and will be responsible for co-ordinating, motivating and supporting social workers, paraprofessionals and community link workers. The team is ready to embrace a new set of challenges and opportunities with colleagues in adult social care and occupational therapy.

The post will oversee the screening of incoming referrals allocating work to individuals in the team and providing supervision on a frequent basis, both formal and informal.

Essential

- Ability to work within a statutory

- Experience of outcomes focussed approach to assessment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Clear value base which includes an understanding of non-stigmatising and non-discriminatory practice.

- An awareness of issues which relate to older people, adults with disabilities, mental health, people at risk of harm and those at risk of social exclusion.

- Negotiation skills and an ability to work in partnership with service users, carers, colleagues and other agencies.

- Experience of risk assessments.

- Experience of chairing and a MDT

SSSC/HCPC

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
