Join Marmon Holdings, backed by Berkshire Hathaway, as a Railcar Technician responsible for repair and maintenance of tank cars. The role requires leadership, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety.

Must Have:

• Railcar / Tank Car Repair Experience
• Willingness to travel nationwide on project basis

Internal employees qualifying will receive a pay increase. UTLX provides leasing, manufacturing, and repair services for one of North America's largest fleets of railroad tank cars, with over 80 field locations across North America.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing repairs and inspections to ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, and customer standards
• Mechanical repairs, welding, and occasional tank car welding
• Maintaining safety standards and reporting hazards
• Ensuring accurate documentation and invoicing
• Participating in safety assessments and initiatives

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to operate machinery and use hand/power tools safely
• Knowledge of reading engineering drawings and basic railcar knowledge
• Willingness to obtain certifications such as welding and airbrake tests within 6-12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Environmental &

Physical Conditions:

Work involves indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to heights, and physical effort including lifting 35 lbs. Safety gear and fall protection are required.
