The Crisis Counselor provides case management and/or counseling services in a four-county area, to youth and their families who exhibit mental health crisis or serve emotional and behavioral problems. Services are intended to assess the appropriate level of mental health care for children and adolescents and provide comprehensive community care through direct services and/or linkages to the least restrictive resources.

• Provide direct crisis intervention services, including after-hours coverage to all persons in the organization service area (Knox, Warren, Henderson, Henry Counties) on a timely basis.
• Consult with Physicians when providing crisis intervention in a medical setting. Consult with peers or psychiatrist when screening clinically complex cases in non-medical settings.
• Provide case coordination services to families applying for or receiving the Individual Care Grant as assigned.
• Provide critical incident response services to the community at large: schools, businesses etc.
• Provide training to staff, community groups, or other parties on crisis interventions related topics.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. A Master's degree and prior experience with crisis counseling and intervention is preferred. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and meet company insurability standards by having a good driving record. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.
