Toddler Lead Teacher

The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for toddlers while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The Lead Teacher plans and implements age-appropriate activities, maintains positive relationships with children and families, and provides guidance and leadership within the classroom.

• Create and maintain a warm, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Plan and implement daily activities that support toddlers' social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Follow an age-appropriate curriculum and adapt activities to meet individual children's needs.
• Establish consistent daily routines, including meals, naps, diapering/toileting, and transitions.
• Supervise children at all times and maintain appropriate health and safety standards.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress and communicate observations with families and administration.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, parents, and caregivers.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding children's daily activities, development, behavior, and needs.
• Guide children's behavior using positive and developmentally appropriate techniques.
• Maintain accurate classroom records, attendance, lesson plans, and required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure consistent classroom practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow all center policies, licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other center activities.
• Serve as a positive role model for children and other classroom staff.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework or degree preferred.
• Previous experience working with toddlers or young children.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to meet all childcare licensing and background-check requirements.

• Have or working towards a CDA or above
• Familiarity with Pro Care
• An understanding of child development.
