EHS Engineer

Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $/yr

Our firm has been exclusively engaged by a large industrial manufacturer seeking an EHS Engineer who will execute and support efforts in environmental compliance.

This position focuses on maintaining adherence to safety, environmental, quality, safety and sustainability standards. This includes enforcing policies and regulations, along with developing improvements to how it’s all done. You’ll be the point person for environmental engineering and technical support in environmental compliance, planning, and engineering.

• Keep current on new/pending compliance developments, environmental regulations, and compliance reporting.
• Identify and resolve environmental issues that arise.
• Develop/implement training programs for compliance with government agencies (ISO 14001, ISO 15001, and Title V), along with auditing for those standards.
• Monitor and assess plant environmental metrics.
• Maintain hazardous waste program.
• Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing floor to ensure EHS presence and support.
• Review and maintain all environmental permits, files, and documents.

• Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in environmental engineering.
• Required experience with metal processing, refining, etc. facilities.
• Experience in air permitting and hazardous waste to industry standards (ISO 14001, Title V, etc.).
• ISO 14001 auditing certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization, along with government agencies.
