Low Voltage Technician

* Description:

* TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the possibility of a permanent hire, along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
Responsibilities:

* Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment.

* Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network issues.

* Configure and program telecommunications devices and systems.

* Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless network connectivity.

* Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving issues.

* Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and service activities.

* Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

* Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.

* Proven experience in telecommunications or related field.

* Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling.

* Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols.

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and requirements.

* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
