Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Stockton University School of Business enrolls approximately 2000 students across undergraduate and graduate programs that include: accounting, business administration, business analytics, computer information systems, computer science, eSports management, entrepreneurship, finance, health administration and leadership, hemp and cannabis business management, and hospitality, tourism and event management.
Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will:
* Provide collaborative and inclusive leadership grounded in transparency and shared governance
* Develop and implement strategic initiatives that support academic excellence and institutional priorities
* Oversee the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of academic curricula and programs
* Foster an environment that supports faculty and staff recruitment, development, retention, and evaluation
Job Responsibilities:
1. Providing administrative and academic oversight of the academic and operational programs of the School of Business, including:
* Providing leadership that aligns with the University mission, policies, procedures and all applicable statutes and regulations
* Providing strategic leadership and vision aligned with the School's mission
* Developing and administering the School of Business budgets in accordance with all appropriate University policies, procedures, and legal requirements
* Supporting efforts to increase enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs
* Overseeing Business program curricula to ensure that academic programs can effectively and efficiently serve the student population, including supervising course scheduling, course-delivery modalities, curriculum development, and faculty workloads
* Providing direction, recommendations, and administrative support for the development of new academic programs
* Facilitating the incorporation of new technologies into the curriculum and faculty research endeavors
* Promoting student academic success and support initiatives that close equity gaps
