Position location:

Prewitt, NM. Hourly rate: $30-$45/hour.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Manage Site Safety and Accident Prevention Programs, conduct safety inspections and briefings, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Act as on-site technical and safety expert; provide training and mentorship for site technicians.
  • Operate and maintain the plant in compliance with established standards and procedures; troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues promptly.
  • Apply technical skills to troubleshoot electrical components using equipment such as digital multimeters, megohm meters, amp clamps, and IV curve tracers.
  • Perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and optimally.
  • Manage and support contractors and OEM vendors; maintain accurate and timely documentation (work orders, time entries, emergency response protocols).
  • Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory usage; ensure work orders include maintenance and parts details.
  • Maintain inventory control with adequate stock levels of equipment and materials, including spare parts usage and replenishment.
  • Ensure high-quality control of tools, vehicles, and materials; pursue continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements.
  • Maintain site vegetation through routine mowing and spraying; be available to work nights, weekends and outside normal hours as needed; maintain on-call rotation schedule.
Minimum Certifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Training for General Industry
  • NFPA 70E – Workplace Electrical Safety
  • First Aid, CPR, AED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Driver’s License REQUIRED
  • Inverter Specialist or Solar Technician with 3+ years’ experience; knowledge of renewable energy peculiarities; expertise in DC array technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform physical activity, including lifting up to 80 lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
