Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state (Registered Nurse NM license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience, preferably in long term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

RN Responsibilities in Long Term Care

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a long term care facility
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor, assess, and document resident conditions; promptly report changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote a safe, supportive environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow healthcare professionals
