Department Supervisor

The department supervisor role at The Home Depot involves leading, coaching and developing associates in assigned departments to deliver excellent customer service and help customers find merchandise. Department Supervisors provide input into operational and merchandising decisions to the Store Management Team and Operations Team. They maintain strong product and operational knowledge across the department. Specific store departments may include Building Materials, Decor, Electrical, Flooring, Gardening, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Pro Account Sales, Tool Rental, Front End, Freight, Receiving, Associate Support, Special Services, and Merchandising Execution, or a combination depending on store structure.

• Lead, train, coach and develop associates in assigned departments to ensure excellent service and easy access to merchandise.
• Provide input into operational and merchandising decisions to the Store Management Team and Operations Team.
• Maintain strong product and operational knowledge across assigned departments.
• Collaborate with store leadership to optimize merchandising, inventory, and store operations.
