Assembly Line - Tempering

This position involves unloading custom tempered glass at the tempering unload station. Proper handling techniques and quality inspection are essential.

Shift Options:

• Days: 5:45am - 6:15pm ($20.00/hr.)
• Nights: 5:45pm - 6:15am ($22.00/hr.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain near-perfect attendance
• Accurately read and measure glass with tape measure
• Inspect glass quality and identify defects
• Place glass correctly into bungees, harps, and squeeze racks
• Reject defective glass appropriately
• Close finished orders properly
• Edge delete glass without quality issues
• Complete unload paperwork accurately
• Set up customer orders correctly
• Communicate with QA and furnace operators regarding quality or breakage issues
• Prevent line backups with glass
• Possess a high sense of urgency

Competitive wages with shift differential. Must pass pre-employment drug screening. Paid training provided. Experience in production or forklift operation is a plus. Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist in unloading packer as needed
• Support coating, maintenance, and other stations upon request

Requirements:

• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations
• Wear required PPE and attend safety meetings
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, twist, stand long periods, and perform stretching, pulling, and pushing
