Engagement Trainer – Part Time

Our sales team needs an engaging individual to effectively train our Event Specialists to engage with consumers and increase sales. This part‑time Engagement Trainer job is accountable for the in‑store training of Event Specialists, onboarding new employees and developing positive relationships with store personnel. The ideal employee trainer is friendly, outgoing and able to train employees in a clear and concise manner.

• Meet the associate at the store on their first day and demonstrate how to set up, conduct and break down a product demonstration.
• Introduce the Event Specialist to the store management team and review protocol for contact and engagement with store management.
• Coach the Event Specialist on the retailer’s engagement model and on how to file their paperwork.
• Build rapport and maintain relationships with the store management team; understand store‑engagement goals and work to support them.
• Use a regular schedule to visit the store, conduct performance audits, and track progress via performance score card.
• Continue training Event Specialists on event management, customer engagement, store‑relationship building and salesmanship.
• Audit Event Specialist performance, keep track of coaching points, and review score cards with supervisors.
• Study product materials to develop product knowledge, review event schedules, attend trainings and relevant materials, check voicemails and emails, and participate in scheduled calls with supervisors.

• (Required) High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in event marketing, demonstrations, customer service, sales, retail/grocery, or coaching for improvement.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently and effectively with management.
• Comfortable engaging with the public, speaking to consumers and recommending product sales.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet).
• Must pass online Food Safety training exam (all training hours will be paid for by the Company). Compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations.

• Travel not essential; driving is an essential duty. Travel up to 20 % of time.
• Required to spend ≥50 % of work hours in a retail in‑store environment; may lift or push up to 74 pounds and stand for long periods; may work in cold conditions (refrigerated/freezer sections).
