Captain - Coastal; Part-Time

Position: Captain - Near Coastal (Part-Time)
* Assists staff responsible for vessel maintenance oversight with maintenance requirements to get vessel up to par to operate.
* Informs staff members of maintenance that needs attention.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
** Salary:
** Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.
* High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Three years of relevant industry experience Post Master's License, including experience troubleshooting marine engines and electronics.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to multi- task and work cooperatively with others.
** Other Requirements or Other Factors:
*** Must pass a USCG/DOT drug test prior to employment and participate in the University’s random drug testing plan. Must have ability to respond to emergencies as directed. Must be available for non-standard hours when needed.
* This position is security sensitive.
* This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.
* All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.
