The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is a diverse research community with strengths in nuclear architecture, genomics, ancient DNA, structural biology, infectious disease, biophysics, and quantitative biology. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UTMB Health invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at all ranks; assistant, associate, or full professor, in the broad research areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, and computational biology. Areas of particular interest include genomics, artificial intelligence, and single cell and spatial methods. A Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) is required. Successful candidates are expected to develop and sustain an externally funded research program.

These positions are anticipated to begin in Fall 2026.
