- Assesses comprehensive data including physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs and interprets assessment information to derive the diagnosis.
- Involves patient, family and health care team members in formulating a culturally appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
- Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family and health care team members.
- Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.
- Evaluates the patient/family's understanding of and response to the plan of care.

Required Qualifications- BSN degree or in progress
- Texas RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Two years’ acute care hospital experience
- Previous ICU, PACU or NICU experience
- Pediatric experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
