Shriners Children's razvoja Texas is where hope and healing meet. As one of only four pediatric burn specialty hospitalsgte the Shriners Children's health system, we are designated by the American Burn Association (ABA) and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma as a verified pediatric burn center. Located on Galveston Island, our 30‑bed inpatient hospital provides a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care specializing in burn care, orthopedic conditions, complex skin conditions, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Our services extend to outreach clinics in San Angelo & Marshall, Texas, and Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, Guadalajara, Veracruz, Toluca & Chihuahua, Mexico and Panama, which provide children and families access to high-quality, specialized burn and orthopedic care.

Responsibilities盛
  • Involves patients, families, and health care team members in formulating an appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
  • Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family, and health care team members.
  • Ensures all components of the plan of care are documented in the patient health record.
  • Evaluates the patient/family's understanding of and response to the plan of care.
  • Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.

Required Qualifications
  • BSN or in progress
  • Texas RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the pediatric specialty of the hospital, which may include Maternal/Child, Orthopaedic, Burn Rehabilitation
