FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (FULL TIME) — Morrison Healthcare

We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER position at Shriners Hospital for Children, 815 Market Street, Galveston, TX 77550. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule:

Full time;
Monday through Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements:
Prior food service or cashier experience is preferred. Willing to train.

Compensation:
Pay range $10.00 per hour to $12.50 per hour.

• Performs cashiering duties, including handling sales transactions and entering sales into the cash register; makes change and processes various payment methods; issues receipts; and follows procedures for refunds.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables; weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator; distributes supplies and equipment as needed.
• Stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety/rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils; maintains sanitation and safety standards.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements and uses approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolves customer complaints in a service-oriented way.
• Relays relevant information to supervisor; performs sales transactions and handles cash receipts with accuracy; follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds; manages assigned cash drawer and funds.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
