Retail Shortage Control - Part Time

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service at Burlington Stores, Inc.

• Command presence at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas to deter theft.
• Greet all customers with a warm, confident smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrances throughout shifts, reducing opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest activities.
• Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates.
• Provide support and training on shortage reduction programs.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold safety and security standards.
• Analyze business trends to improve theft prevention.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and visually monitor the store environment for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills with customers and co‑workers.
• Leadership qualities that foster productive business relationships.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Base Pay: $12.00 per hour (part‑time). Part‑time associates may be eligible for Burlington's benefits package, including medical coverage, a 401(k) plan, up to 4 hours of paid time off annually after one year of service, up to 8 paid holidays, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable law.
