Librarian III at NL Health Services

Join the Health Sciences Centre as a Librarian III, where you’ll play a vital role in providing library services to staff and physicians. This permanent full-time position involves expert literature searches and innovative outreach initiatives.

Work collaboratively with the Library and Information Services team in developing new library services tailored to health sciences. You'll be responsible for engaging with electronic library vendors and conducting both in-person and virtual training sessions. Additionally, your insights will guide library improvement and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute expert literature searches for physician reference needs

• Create and implement virtual training opportunities

• Serve on committees to enhance library services

• Manage and support electronic library systems

• Assist in cataloguing and evaluating library services

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences

• Three years of experience providing library services

• Proficiency in using resources like Up To Date  and eJournals

• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills

• Commitment to fostering diversity in information services
