Nurse Practitioner; Acute Care

Position: Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care)
Become a vital part of NL Health Services as a Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care, based in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador. This full-time role focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered clinical care.

Based at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, your responsibilities will include assessing and managing both acute and chronic health cases in collaboration with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams. You will engage in critical thinking and change management to enhance patient outcomes and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute advanced health assessments and diagnostic tests

• Collaborate in care planning with hospital staff

• Support patient management during daily huddles

• Provide leadership and education to nursing teams

• Manage medication protocols and treatment regimens

Requirements:

• Must possess an accredited Nurse Practitioner qualification

• Current NP registration and BLS certification

• Willingness to pursue ACLS certification

• Proven problem-solving and leadership skills

• Satisfactory police conduct certificate required
