Qualifications- External
This role requires you to have Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and hold current active registration with the provincial licensing body. The position also requires you to have a solid knowledge and experience of the principles, practices and methods of Pediatrics and Community nursing.
- Assists with client care as directed by the developed care plans.
- Administers and records prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
- Maintains the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
Nursing care is to be provided in central Newfoundland in client’s home and / or in local hospital when needed. Rotational shifts of Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays and potential for On-Call requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Applicable Medical Immunizations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written), French language proficiency considered an asset
- 1:1 patient care
- Paid orientation, comprehensive training, and opportunities for specialized skill development (client specific training)
