The Ministry of Social Services, Child & Family Programs, Northeast Service Area is seeking a term Emergency Duty Worker in Hudson Bay to provide after-hours emergency services to families. Reporting to a Child and Family Supervisor, this position offers flexible hours with no guaranteed schedule, responding to emergency call-outs as needed.

The ministry is looking for a compassionate and adaptable individual who can respond effectively to families in crisis. The ideal candidate will have experience in human services and be capable of working independently in high-pressure situations. They must be legally eligible to operate a vehicle in Saskatchewan and willing to travel, work, and lift and carry small children.

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of human services policies, practices, and procedures. This is typically acquired through a diploma or degree in a Human Services-related field and/or relevant experience. Key skills include assessing child safety risks, investigating abuse/neglect referrals, developing safety plans, and providing emergency aid and transportation to families in need.
