Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) located in Gandhidham. The RSO will oversee the safe use of radiation within the hospital, ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations, and maintain proper documentation for radiation equipment and procedures. Their responsibilities include monitoring radiation levels, overseeing the safe handling of equipment, conducting safety training for staff, and ensuring the well-being of patients and employees.
The RSO will also provide guidance on implementing radiation protocols and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety, regulatory compliance, and radiation monitoring practices
Proficiency in maintaining and calibrating radiation equipment
Skills in conducting radiation safety training and educating staff
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to ensure a safe work environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with medical staff and regulatory authorities
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Radiological Safety, Physics, or a related field
National accreditation or certification as a Radiation Safety Officer is highly desirable
