Job Summary

Kan Equip-Garden City has an immediate opening for a Service Writer to assist the Service Manager with administrative duties and repair orders for agriculture and construction equipment.

• Experience in an agriculture equipment service department or an agricultural equipment dealership.
• Expertise with computer systems, including MS Office and internet‑based applications.
• Ability to work extended hours during the week or weekends as needed.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle status: current driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles; ability to travel to company meetings and training events as needed.
• Solid diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Great customer service skills.
• Knowledge of agricultural operations – farming background preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and employees.

• Coordinate with the Service Manager to assign jobs to technicians according to their skill and knowledge.
• Assist in the supervision of technicians to ensure excellent customer experience.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service work and billing.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with the service team, other dealership staff, and vendors.
• Complete forms for service operations and warranty in a timely and accurate manner.
• Promote teamwork and communication through effective interaction with team members.
• Manage service trucking and sales logistics.
