Admissions Counselor University Admissions JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for recruiting and admitting first‑year, transfer, international, and graduate students into the University.
SALARY INFORMATIONIn compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $66,300. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.

- Ability to build and develop relationships.
- Ability to speak in public spaces to small and large groups.
- Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
- Ability to critically think and use data to inform decisions.
- Ability to work remotely and utilize digital tools.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work evening hours and weekends.
- Ability to carry up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to drive and travel to locations in recruiting area(s) (must have a valid driver’s license).
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- One to two years of related or transferable experience is preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual is preferred.
