Lead Relay Electrical Tech

What You Can Expect

As the Lead Relay - Electric Tech your duties will include but not limited to the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment. You will direct and aid plant maintenance personnel in performing their required duties and functions in addition to all plant related equipment repairs.

• A minimum High School Diploma/GED
• You have completed training as an instrumentation & controls technician; with a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in maintenance of plant equipment
• Advanced knowledge of electrical test equipment and meters including but not limited to low and high voltage meggers, oscilloscope, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable in electrical generation and distribution systems, protective relaying and switching, transformers and switch gear up to and including 69kv
• Must be knowledgeable of high voltage indoor and outdoor switch gear, substations, and DC control systems, motors, and motor controllers.
• Must be self‑motivated and able to perform all required job functions without direct supervision.
• This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis;
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/will drive company vehicle
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
• This position consist of 30% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
• Will be required to work overtime to cover vacations, illnesses, absences and other operational or maintenance requirements

$70.97 USD hourly

Your position is part of a bargaining unit represented bylocal union. Many of the terms and conditions of your employment, including but not limited to work scheduling, wages, vacation, sick leave, and other benefits, will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement (the “CBA”) between the Company and the union.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for call out pay.
