Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Garden City, KS!

- Monday-Friday position with no overnights
- Pay begins at $28/hour

Most of our vehicles are less than six years old and equipped with technology including collision avoidance systems, advanced cameras, and GPS navigation, to ensure your safety and efficiency on the road.
What You'll Do:- Be a Customer Ambassador:
You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, driving an established route to deliver compressed gas cylinders and related products. You will handle customer orders, resolve service complaints, and build strong relationships. - Safety and Efficiency:
You will safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload products from our company‑provided straight or box truck, adhering to all DOT and company regulations. - Maintain Your Vehicle:
You will perform routine maintenance checks and keep your truck clean, ensuring it is ready for your daily route. - Physical capability:
This role requires a high degree of physical capability and stamina to safely handle and deliver our products with routinely lifting 25‑75 lbs and up to 125+ lbs with the aid of material handling equipment. You will be frequently bending, walking, standing and driving for up to 8 hours a day of hazardous cargo.

- Experience:
At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience that is verifiable under DOT requirements in the past 5 years, or a recent graduate from an accredited driving school. Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive attitude are a plus. - Endorsements:
Class A or B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain Hazmat upon contingency of offer. - Clean Record: A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is essential and you must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical capability:
As above, lifting 25‑75 lbs and up to 125+ lbs with aid of equipment, bending, walking, standing and driving up to 8 hours a day with hazardous cargo.
- Skills:
The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and read/comprehend material safety data sheets.
