Ambulatory Care Nurse - Pulmonary

About This Role

The Ambulatory Care Nurse will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse looking to provide comprehensive care and collaborate with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans.

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Collect patient health history
• Record information in electronic health record
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans
• Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage
• Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia
• Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians
• Participate in coordination of on-site activities to provide patient care
• Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team and promote collegial relationships

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required (Associate Degree may be approved with conditions)

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in applicable area

• Current Registered Nurse License in New York
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification preferred
