Ambulatory Care Nurse

The Ambulatory Care Nurse will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. This role is ideal for a nurse who is committed to providing comprehensive patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams.

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Collect patient health history
• Record information in electronic health record
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans as directed
• Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns
• Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia
• Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed
• Support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and performance evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures
• Participate in designated activities related to NYULH clinical standards and regulations of relevant outside agencies

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required;
  Associate Degree in Nursing may be approved contingent upon approval from Nursing Leadership

• Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area

• Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification preferred
