- Harbinger Motors is a VC funded early-stage electric vehicle startup based in Garden Grove, California focused on the commercial space
- We are currently seeking an ambitious engineering student to join our HV battery testing team
- As an intern, you will have various opportunities to contribute to the characterization and validation of Harbinger’s industry-leading battery technology
- The primary responsibilities for this position will be to set up and conduct tests on the HV battery and its components
- The role also offers the opportunity to build valuable experience at a fast paced, high growth startup during a critical early product development stage
- Support design engineering and testing functions
- Develop and execute test plans, including fixture design, test method development, data logging, and reporting
- Assist test engineers with a variety of cell-level, module-level, and pack-level tests
- Write test plans
- Support data analysis

- Ability to write Python scripts to facilitate data analysis
- Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa
- Previous internship experience required
- Prior experience with instrumentation and data acquisition sensors preferred
- Prior experience in automotive projects is preferred, but not required
- Collegiate teams such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, EcoCAR, Supermileage, etc
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Comfortable using hand tools, fabricating simple wiring projects, and debugging low-voltage test setups
- Hands-on experience working on vehicles or batteries
