Injection Molding Process Specialist, Manufacturing, Garden Grove, CA $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, Plus 3rd shift $2.00 differential, plus quarterly bonuses, M-F 3rdShift 9:00pm - 5:30am.
The Senior Process Technician is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust injection molding processes to ensure high-quality, zero-defect production. This includes process development, troubleshooting, DOE execution, process verification, parameter audits, and annealing profile development. The role also involves creating SOPs and Work Instructions for critical jobs, leading root cause analysis with multidisciplinary teams, supporting MRB events, collaborating with tooling and engineering for mold improvements, and implementing downtime reduction projects.
Additional responsibilities include training operators and technicians and ensuring process stability and repeatability.

Essential Functions and Related Objectives:
- Develop and validate injection molding processes for new and existing products.
- Conduct DOE studies to optimize process parameters.
- Establish robust annealing profiles and ensure repeatability.
- Lead root cause analysis with multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support MRB events for disposition and corrective actions.
- Perform regular audits of machine settings and process parameters.
- Maintain accurate documentation of process changes and verifications.
- Create and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions for critical jobs.
- Ensure documentation aligns with quality and safety standards.
- Recommend mold modifications for improved cycle times and quality.
- Support engineering in zero-defect initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Follow up on urgent jobs according to schedule.
- Minimize downtime during setups and machine startups.
- Train operators and technicians on proper setup and process standards.
- Maintain training records and compliance with SOPs.
- Lead initiatives to reduce downtime related to setups and machine startups.
- Implement best practices for quick changeovers.
Required
Skills & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED certificate (preferred).
- Associates in Engineering/Operations is Preferred.
- Arburg + Engel/RJG Master Molder Certifications is preferred
- 7+ years experience in injection molding plastics processing; prior experience in set-up and operation of injection molds and auxiliary equipment;
Experience using inspection equipment and following quality procedures. - Strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Other
- Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and program equipment.
- Good vision to read written materials and measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.…
