Starting Rate: $16.90 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Entry level

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service in the bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Clean shelving, display cases, and self‑serve displays in front of the store and bakery.
• Work with the Baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help keep the department clean by hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Bakery Manager.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting up to 60 pounds, standing, walking, kneeling.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and product information.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out limited written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move 25–45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra).

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
